Silbury Skoda Showroom Opening Event

Wow, what a night that was. Thank you so much to everyone who took the time to visit us on our grand opening last Wednesday night. I really don't think it could have been better with the canapes, cocktail bar, and violinist all being first class - I cannot believe we managed to fill the marquee to bursting point!

For me it was quite emotional with all my family, friends and years of loyal customers gathered together, it's so hard to believe it is seven years ago since the garage was first opened.

CLICK HERE to see all of the photographs from the night and thank you all for your continued support.

Silbury Skoda Sponsored Blyth Rangers Deportivo win PYC Tournament.

Silbury Skoda sponsored Blyth Rangers Deportivo U14’s recently won the PYC tournament at Prudhoe.

Deportivo were drawn in a difficult group with Prudhoe, Cramlington United and Walbottle, but triumphed in winning all three games and topping the group.

Deportivo progressed to the semi-final stage beating Wideopen in a penalty shoot out.

The final loomed against club mates Blyth Rangers Valencia, who had done really well to reach the final after losing their first group game. Valencia started the game well and put some pressure on the Deportivo goal, tired legs were starting to take their toll on both sides, but Deportivo managed to overcome the early pressure and started to dominate possession and goal scoring chances. A good through ball put Reece Carroll through one on one with the Valencia keeper who came out to close the striker down, only for Carroll to slip the ball into the back of the net. Another goal followed fairly quickly when another through ball was collected by Connor Burnett, the Valencia keeper was quick off his line again and forced Burnett wide, however the nippy forward managed to cross the ball to the far post where new signing Liam Watson met the ball to score his first goal for his new club, making the score 2-0 at half time. The final score remained 2-0 to Deportivo making them the tournament Champions.

Deportivo coach, Steve Richmond, said “The lads were outstanding today, they played a lot of football over a long day, and they could hardly walk going into the final. However, they managed to find that final bit of energy to ensure they won the game. What was particularly pleasing was that they only conceded one goal during the whole day”.

We would like to thank our sponsors Silbury Skoda for their continued support with the team and look forward to being associated with them again in the coming season.

Silbury Skoda Sponsor Blyth Rangers U13 Deportivo.

Here is a recent press article about our sponshorship of local junior football team Blyth Rangers Deportivo.

Cramlington based Silbury Skoda have sponsored Blyth Rangers U13 Deportivo team for the 2013/14 season, the donation provided a new Green strip which fits in with Skoda’s colour scheme.

Silbury Skoda’s Managing Director Terry Critchlow said “We have been considering a sponsorship deal with a local youth team for some time, and the proposal that this Blyth Rangers team put forward seemed to fit the bill. I am very happy that we can help out a local organisation like this, what the volunteers do at this club to help the kids is outstanding”.

Team coach Steve Richmond said “I would like to thank Terry for his generous donation to the team; the kids seemed to have upped their game since we got the strips, keeping five clean sheets from their last six games. We are also unbeaten in our last nine league games, looks like Green is our lucky colour”.

Some of the team visited the Silbury Skoda garage recently and had their picture taken with Silbury Skoda’s Managing Director Terry Critchlow.

Who's a lucky girl then?

You put your name into the hat and you win a car - sounds too good to be true but just ask Linda Cook all about it!

Linda from Seaton Deleval popped into our showroom for the launch of the all new Citigo early in June and did just that. The 'Win a Citigo' competition was a national event open to everyone visiting a ŠKODA Retailer to see the new car.

Amazingly, Linda's entry was chosen as the winner and she will shortly take possession of a brand new Citigo SE courtesy of ŠKODA UK.

Linda commented "This is truly amazing, I've never won anything before and what a fantastic car - thank you so much"

Pictured is Linda with her new ŠKODA Citigo.
